  • Andrea Joyce

  • Andrea Joyce joined CBS Sports full time in August 1989 and currently serves as host of AT THE HALF and THE CBS SPORTS SHOW, the sports magazine series on the CBS Television Network.

    Joyce co-hosted the Network's weekend daytime coverage of the 1994 Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer, Norway, and the '92 Games in Albertville, France, with Jim Nantz and hosted the Network's early-round coverage of the 1991 NCAA Division I Men's Basket ball Championship; "College Football Today," the college football studio show; the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship Final Four and title game broadcasts (1991-94) and the Heisman Trophy Award show (1990).

    Joyce has also served as a reporter for the NCAA basketball tournament, the U.S. Open Tennis Championships and NBA playoff games.

    Prior to joining CBS Sports, Joyce hosted "MSG SportsBreak" on the Madison Square Garden Network (1988). She also served as a reporter for ESPN that year at the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul, the NFL Draft and the French Open Tennis Championshi ps.

    Joyce was the weekend sports anchor for WFAA-TV Dallas (1987) and, during that time, received the Texas Association of Broadcasters Award for "Sports Special of the Year." She has also worked as a news anchor and field reporter for KMGH-TV Denv er, WDIV-TV Detroit, KTVH-TV Wichita, Kan., and KKTV Colorado Springs, Colo.

    Joyce was born Aug. 17, 1954 in Detroit and received a speech/communications degree from the University of Michigan in 1976. She lives in New York City with her husband, Harry Smith, co-anchor of "CBS This Morning," and their two sons.
