Originally established in 1952, Beacon provides employment and employment-related services to people with disabilities. We provide training, development, and opportunities for real work for a segment of our community that traditionally bears a 70% unemployment rate. Beacon is the largest employer of people with disabilities in Southern Arizona and is currently the 122nd largest employer overall in Tucson. We serve over 1,600 people annually with a budget in excess of ten million dollars and a staff of 185. Our workshops offer local businesses with high-quality sub-contract services such as assembly, packaging, collating, and document shredding. We also employ off-site work crews that perform grounds-keeping, clerical, assembly, automobile detailing, food service, and custodial maintenance. Major companies we work with include ALCOA, Raytheon, Safeway, Ventana Medical, Healthnet , Carondelet Health Network, Jim Click Automotive, TEP, Southwest Gas, and University Medical Center.

Business Clubs America (BCA) is a national business development organization that focuses on building relationships, increasing sales, and promoting member businesses within each locally managed market. Hosting multiple events both large and small, providing warm referrals, and facilitating face to face introductions differentiates BCA from other typical networking associations.
