Community InvolvementCHARITY SPOTLIGHT- September 2010 Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization assisting low-income Philadelphia families with emergency utility assistance since 1983. UESF's mission is to empower families and individuals in crisis to be safe and secure through the provision of services designed to address their immediate crisis and to address the root causes of their crisis. Services include provision of financial assistance so families and individuals can avoid utility termination or get utility service restored; provision of technical assistance; formation of partnerships; advocacy activities; and other energy related services.
