Also, wanted to let you know how special it was for me to be able to take my boys to see Clebe McClary. He’s quite a gentleman and an inspiration. He came right up and introduced himself to Alex and Adam when we arrived and they were hooked. They enjoyed the entire event and soaked up every word and point that Clebe shared. Exposing them to someone of his credibility and story provided a very important data point in their growth at their impressionable ages. Having them hear someone like Clebe back up and support the same things we teach helps to reinforce our messages as parents and gives them hope and inspiration. While they won’t remember exact words, I believe it’s these kinds of encounters that they will remember forever and helps to shape them into fine young men. Thank you for the offer to be your guest and being so open to allowing me to bring the boys. We all very much appreciate the show of kindness. While we missed you I wanted to also let you know how nice it was to meet Tom and the good care he took of us. He was very kind in assisting the boys to get photo’s with Clebe and in getting their book signed by him. Clebe’s daughter was present (she actually lives close to us) and she gave the boys one of Clebe’s books, which was very nice of her. Tom ensured we had everything we needed and were taken care of and I got a chance to chat with him a bit after the event as well. Good guy.

"River Ridge Golf Club and Rocky Top Hospitality

River Ridge Golf Club has been a BCA member for 2 ½ years and Rocky top for ? years. Elissa Schubert who is the Sales and Events Coordinator at River Ridge and Kathy White who is the Catering Manager of Rocky Top met at a BCA round table almost 2 years ago. At that time River Ridge was looking to grow their wedding and event revenue and added Rocky Top to their list of recommended vendors. This year Rocky Top is catering 3 of River Ridge’s wedding s with hopes of even more in 2010.

Also, Rocky Top has catered both of the BCA’s tournaments and will also cater this year’s June 1st golf tournament. Kathy and Elissa are also in discussion about catering River Ridge’s 2009 Member Guest tournament this summer.
