Join us for our May breakfast as we welcome Greg Taylor, a Cary resident who was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in 1993. He spent 6,149 days – almost 17 years – in prison before newly available evidence resulted in his exoneration in February, 2010.
Last month, Capitol Broadcasting aired the story of Greg Taylor’s case across the state in a documentary titled “6,149 Days”. Steven D. Hammel, vice president and general manager of WRAL-TV, said in its news release, “Greg Taylor’s story exposes serious flaws in our state’s criminal justice system. It is our hope that this program can be a force for positive change.”
It is with this same hope in reforming the Justice System that Greg Taylor travels the country discussing the facts of his case, including his life of incarceration.
Breakfast will be held at the Brier Creek Country Club.
RSVP by Tuesday, May 15 by 4:00pm.
