The Banks Law Firm was founded by Sherrod Banks on February 1, 1994. Prior to forming the Firm, Mr. Banks practiced law for five years with Durham, North Carolina's oldest and largest law firm. Since being founded, the Firm has grown to seven attorneys, three paralegals and administrative staff. The Firm is located at Winchester Place in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, just five miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
The Banks Law Firm has established most of the practice areas of a general civil law practice. The Firm represents clients in the areas of affordable housing and community economic development law, bankruptcy, business and corporate law, civil litigation, collections, nonprofit corporations, public finance, and real estate law. Teamwork between the attorneys and staff is the key to providing the best possible representation and service to clients in each of the Firm's practice areas.
